We seek the best products for our web pages and have searched
Internationally for products to bring to you. We discovered that right here in
our own back yard was a unique product that deserves attention. Our town is
the home of the Missouri School For The Deaf (MSD) and our friend is a teacher
at MSD and has had a vision of making an educational CD for teaching ASL to
friends, neighbors, and the local community.Basic Signs: An Introduction to
ASL is a joint effort of many talented people in the Deaf community. Our
CD-ROMs are created by a Deaf owned and operated company for viewing on your
computer.
ASL is American Sign Language. It is a language
used by many Deaf Americans. For our CD design purposes we defined ASL as
signs used by Deaf people in daily conversations. There are many invented
signs that are not used in daily conversations. To insure that we are
presenting ASL signs we have two Deaf consultants, both trained in teaching
and evaluating ASL.
Many Signs has made learning a new language (ASL)
simple! There are many CD's and videos on learning ASL but this is in a class
by itself. It is truly a means for firemen, educators, business personel,
medical staff, and mothers of infants can easily and quickly learn ASL!
Many Signs (ASL) is a Deaf owned and operated
company with CD's for the hearing community; for the friends and family and
businesses that need to know ASL.
